Fluid Eating's Review of The Knaypa
At The Knaypa you can choose from two dining areas: the ground floor has a contemporary design with pale wooden flooring, coloured opaque mirrors, red leather seating and crisp white linen; the downstairs area, reminiscent of an old Silesian inn, is more rustic and an entirely different proposition altogether with dark wooden furniture, atmospheric lighting and homely atmosphere. In keeping with the style of this lower section the food is served in time-honoured fashion on hand carved lime wooden platters adding a touch of authenticity to the whole affair. “Food is nothing special, not the most expensive ingredients, I have to say. Also, presentation is not the best. Edible but overpriced and their main course for two "pólmisek dla dwojga" looks like pile of leftovers;-)”

“We went for dinner on 10/3/08 and had a fantastic time - Great atmosphere, not too noisy and the chips are to die for! We have been there before and will definitely go back, I would highly recommend Knaypa for an evening out with friends.”

“Certainly a unique dining experience. Service was very good and the wine list reasonable priced. Menu was varied with an eclectic mix of Polish and other European cuisines. We ate here on a Saturday lunch time. The restaurant was virtually full but the service was still attentive. Overall very impressed - likely to visit again.”

“I booked a table in The Knaypa Restaurant for my birthday party and I could not be more surprised. The interior of the restaurant is unusual but very interesting. There are two floors, ground floor with modern style design, and the basement with traditional heavy polish style furniture. We couldn't decide where to sit so we started on the ground floor but as the party moved on we went downstairs. The food was delicious, we had an opportunity to try typical polish dishes such as bigos, golabki, home made dumplings. The atmosfere was great, it is my favourite place in the area. Definitely worth recommending!”
