Zebrano, 14-16 Ganton St, near Carnaby St, Soho, London, W1 Zebrano Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by rakapravena, London: I come here all the time after work, and I will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. If we manage to get there for Happy Hour we go nuts on cocktails and have to leave early, cos they pack a punch. If we get there later we order a couple of sharing platters and some beers and chill until the music gets louder. Basically, everyone in the office loves this place, and one of the barmaids in particular... (08/05/08)

Blagclub (The), 11 Russell Gardens, Kensington Olympia, Holland Park, London, W14 The Blagclub Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Will, London: I come here regularly and really like the atmosphere that it creates. Good fun party music and a very friendly clientele - a step up from some of the other Shepherd's Bush bars. (06/05/08)

Snugg Bar, 76b Marchmont Street, Corner of Tavistock place, Bloombsbury, London, WC1 Snugg Bar Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Camryn French, London: The bar truly is unspoilt and undiscovered. The barman, was remarkably welcoming, unusual when its just four guys in a swanky bar, he was up for a laugh. He also goes on a tad about the fresh juices and his cocktails. Nothing to complain about its refreshing to see someone who takes pride and enjoyment in what they do. The doorman was also not a fascist, he had a brief chat with us (I think to assess us) but realised we were ok and just up for a drink. Again unusual in London we never felt that the bar was doing us a favour. The entrance to the bar is nondescript, it belies the what actually lies beneath. The lighting works as do the paintings and caves. This place is truly different they seem to want to address the obnoxious feeling that comes with swanky bars in this city. Thus far so good well done guys, I hope that increasing success does not get to this bar. It has a great charm, its relaxing and upmarket at the same time. It would be great if other bars followed suit. Let (04/05/08)

Light Bar and Restaurant (The), 233 Shoreditch High street, Shoreditch, London, E1 The Light Bar and Restaurant Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Maria, London: Great atmosphere and space! We were there last night. The only downside was having to put up with a very rude waitress... the one who doesn't like to do Mojitos! If you don't like to do them, don't work in a bar then! Vivo Bar, 6 Poland Street, Soho, London, W1 Vivo Bar Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Joey Lines, London: I went to Vivo on Poland St, walking through Vivo to the lower ground floor for cocktails the vibe was uplifting and unpretentious. We sat in one of their really cool booths for dinner where i ordered Tapas which I would recommend to everyone, after our meal we went back down stairs where they had a Dj playing this was a perfect ending to a delightful date. Will take all my friends and work colleagues there. (03/05/08)

Langley (The), 5 Langley Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2 The Langley Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Ginni , London: Really disappointed with this place. I went with work mates on a Friday night. Some bar staff didn't know how to make drinks... I received a mojito that wasn't muddled or even shaken! Possibly the worst drinks we've ever had. Will not be returning, ever. (03/05/08)

Home, 100-106 Leonard Street, Shoreditch, London, EC2 Home Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by sarah bell, london: Went to Home with 16 of my friends for a birthday party & had the best time. Food was amazing, especially the venison. The service was so friendly creating a great vibe within the restaurant. After we went to the bar which was very busy with a night called Circuit, with big name DJ's playing there. It turned out to be one of my best nights in a long time (30/04/08)

Drunken Monkey (The), 222 Shoreditch High Street, Shoreditch, London, E1 The Drunken Monkey Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Max Mazourov, London: Good food/drinks, but badly let down by the service and the bar layout. Went to the Monkey on Saturday night and got seated right next to the door under a speaker, the music was so loud that none of us could hear one another. When we asked the staff to lower the music slightly we received a very definite "no". So we were literally forced to finish our food ASAP and leave the place. If you are looking for a bar to have a few drinks - the Monkey is definitely a good option (although there are plenty of alternatives in the area), but don't go there to dine... (28/04/08)

Wibbley Wobbly, Greenland Dock, off Rope St, Surrey Quays, London, SE16 Wibbley Wobbly Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Pete Desant, London: Don't be distracted by the slightly run down exterior of this old boat, many upmarket, trendy restaurants and gastro pubs could learn a lot from the people that run this lovely little eaterie. The service is sparky and friendly, the young waitress covering all five tables couldn't have been more welcoming and was bright and attentive. She dealt with a large, slightly bawdy family group with genuine cheerfulness and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food served by her Dad was top knotch, a superior beefsteak pie with crisp shortcrust on the bottom and suet crust on top was absolutely gorgeous. I've never had a pie this good. The roast pork stuffed with, proper old sage and onion with a little zing from lemon zest came with fantastic braised red cabbage and cruncy roasties. I was stuffed but my partner tried the apple and blackberry crumble and scoffed away whimpering with delight. This is cooking as it should be, unpretentious, beautifully cooked and served with a sense of fun (25/04/08)

Gun (The), 27 Cold Harbour, Docklands, London, E14 The Gun Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Bob, London: What a great find, this place is full of energy and lively people in a good mood - no stuffyiness here! The food was terrific, good ole English hearty food, but well presented and fresh! Great choice of wines as well. The trip out there is really worth it. (24/04/08)

Aura Kitchen & Bar, 48/49 St James Street, Piccadilly, St James / Mayfair, London, SW1 Aura Kitchen & Bar Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Giuseppina, London: I turned 40 a couple of weeks ago and wanted to celebrate somewhere chic and swanky. I had my birthday dinner with 5 friends and another 10 friends joined us afterwards in the club on Sat 12th April. It was my birthday on 13th and therefore we celebrated at midnight. What an evening!! Matt the the manager was absolutely fantastic, the food is super quality (I am a qualified food inspector) and the service was great. Although the kitchen did get the timing a bit messed up, Matt and another girl (don't know her name) made up for it by making us feel so special during the rest of the evening. Every time one of my guest arrived at the door, Matt would personally go to the door and fetch that person, what a star!!! The music was good, funky with some R&B tunes, not too radical but still on a mainstream. The people were mixed age and styles, nothing rough, which is what I wanted. Perfect place for a classy, unpretentious evening. Thank you Matt. (24/04/08)

Vertigo Bar & Nightclub, 1 Leicester Square, Leicester Square, London, WC2 Vertigo Bar & Nightclub Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Tanya Lane, Hampstead: Great Nightclub set over 3 floors. The view is amazing overlooking Leicester Square, Parliament and the Wheel. The venue can also offer special offer's if its anyone's birthday. My friend's and i were treated to VIP treatment and our own waitress and it was a couple of their birthdays. Go and see for yourself. (22/04/08)

Cape Bar, Wood Street, Love Lane, St Paul's, City, London, EC2 Cape Bar Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Claudia Kohler, London: The food is vile. My compagnon had fish and chips which looked like they had been taken from a frozen dish and microwaved, fish was completely dry. My lamb burger (normally a good option!) was similarly inedible, even the potato wedges looked shrivelled and unappetising. Place was half empty, which says a lot. Avoid the food, but drinks are reasonably priced for the City. Staff are unresponsive - I think that's down to a language barrier. If all the other places closed in the area, and there is little choice at the moment, I would go back but not until then! (17/04/08)

Snugg Bar, 76b Marchmont Street, Corner of Tavistock place, Bloombsbury, London, WC1 Snugg Bar Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Özer Khalid, Brussels: Snugg Lounge is a delectably hidden gem. Literally a stone`s throw away from the Brunswick Centre in Russel Square. The venue is one of London`s choicest. It oozes decadent boudoir chic class reminiscent of New York à la 1920s Scott Fitzgerald coupled with tastefully classy paintings with a Helmut Newtonesque edge to them. The décor, ambience and music are understatedly elegant, the staff surprisingly upbeat and attentive. I rocked down there with a few mates mid-week and I can truly testify that their mixologist`s cocktail mélange was probably one of the finest and freshest London has to offer. Their White Russian cocktails as well as a cranberry cocktail are to die for. Perfect to take a date or even a few work colleagues for after-work drinks. I can imagine this rocking venue hosting private parties, chic PR functions, glam photo shoots, corporate events, art & diplomatic functions even private fashion and jewelery viewings. I would highly recommend this upmarket cockta (16/04/08)

Cafe de Paris, 3 Coventry Street, Piccadilly Circus, London, W1 Cafe de Paris Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by Gia S, London: I've been here several times and the experience has always been great! It's one of my favorite clubs. The music is always great and it's quite big so it doesn't get claustrophobic! Love it! (15/04/08)

Lost Society, 697 Wandsworth Road, Clapham, London, SW8 Lost Society Restaurant, London, (EC2) customer review by laura, putney: I went here for birthday drinks on saturday and was really really disappointed! I rang to book about a week before and was told that i couldn't book an area for drinks which was absolutely fair enough. So i asked what time i should get there by and they said 8 to avoid queuing. So i headed over with a friend at about 7.30 to grab a table. When we arrived it wasn't too busy but there was only a couple of tables left.... oh and one big table reserved for drinks! Having got there early to grab a few seats for my mates we took a couple of tables and ordered a bite to eat. The waiterish guy was really nice and the service was quick but when the food arrived i was a little shocked at how poor it was considering the price. That aside i liked the place and the music (however, i did not like the chav's that suddenly made there way in and over crowded the bar!). Since the service seemed so nice i asked another guy working there if it was ok to take up two tables as i had about 20 people arriving (14/04/08)
