Upper Glas Restaurant Overview
Glas Restaurant is the creation of Anna Mosesson, Swedish cook, food writer and broadcaster. Glas Restaurant opened in Borough Market, south of the Thames by London Bridge, in March 2005. The restaurant developed out of "Scandelicious", the Swedish food stall that Anna started in 1999. In the autumn of 2006 they left Borough to go north of the river and are now situated in Angel, Islington.
In a short space of time Glas has established itself as the premier Swedish restaurant in the UK, recieving glowing reviews in national newspapers, magazines and food publications. Glas has a talented team of young Swedish chefs and front of house staff, and a friendly and intimate atmosphere.
As well as Swedish food, frozen snaps/aquavits and Scandinavian beers are a speciality, but they also offer an interesting range of wines, with an emphasis on floral and aromatic whites and reds that can be drunk lightly chilled. (Updated 22/01/2007)
