Tierra Brindisa Overview
After the success of Tapas Brindisa at London Bridge they have opened a second branch in Soho in September 2008. Tierra Brindisa is in a vibrant corner of Soho overlooking the cobbles of Broadwick Street and facing straight down Lexington Street. The space is intimate and relaxing with tables in the front room and a kitchen bar at the back for less formal eating. The room is filled with reminders of the culture and beauty of the land of Spain.
Tierra Brindisa brings you a menu of tapas and food plates that include not only the traditional cured Brindisa foods of bellota ham, farmhouse cheeses and fine fish but also a wide range of cooked and fresh dishes including a hearty cazuela dish of the day. This cazuela dish will be a sustaining one that you would traditionally expect to be popular at lunchtime in Spain. The wine list focuses on wine that goes well with food. They bias tends towards wines made with indigenous varietals, and are most interested in the flavour and quality of wines, often from lesser known areas of Spain.
For the last twenty years, Brindisa, an adventurous food importer, has sourced some of the finest foods from Spain. These are available to professional buyers across the country and also at Brindisa shops in Exmouth & Borough markets. With the opening of Tapas Brindisa in 2004, Monika Linton, who founded Brindisa in 1988, realised a long awaited dream: that of working with the creative flair of José Pizarro and a growing team of chefs, to create their own place to serve Brindisa ingredients. Tierra Brindisa enjoys the same heritage of fine producers behind its foods and a modern outlook on tapas cooking from the kitchen. (Updated 17/09/2008)
