The National Dining Rooms and Bakery Overview
The National Dining Rooms and Bakery is situated on level one in the Sainsbury Wing of London's National Gallery. The National Dining Rooms is a pleasingly versatile space combining modernity and tradition in an inimitably British style.
Open during Gallery hours, it is ideal for breakfast meetings, coffee and elevenses; through to a full three course lunch in the restaurant and traditional afternoon tea.
This Great British restaurant offers an unmistakably home-grown menu with a generous spread of treats in the all day bakery, an innovative a la carte menu, and a reasonable priced set lunch in the restaurant.
Come for something as simple tea and biscuits, or try the restaurant for lunch with magnificent views over Trafalgar Square, and the promise of walking it off through the Gallery afterwards.
The National Dining Rooms is open from 10am-5pm every day. Wednesdays open until 8.30pm for an early supper or pre theatre dinner.
The all day bakery provides everything from a cup of coffee and biscuits, to British childhood favourites such as Bakewell tart, fig rolls and treacle tart. (Updated 23/06/2007)
