The Food Room Overview
On 29th June 2004, Eric and Sarah Guinard opened their second restaurant, ?The Food Room? a French/Mediterranean restaurant in Battersea. Due to the success of the French Table they decided to expand. They had no definite location in mind but were happy with the site at Queenstown Road. They felt that it had similar qualities to The French Table and were keen to establish a successful French ?Local? restaurant in Battersea. Eric?s cuisine has always been French/ Mediterranean in style, with influences coming from the South of France, Italy and Northern Africa. Flavours are delicate, never over-powering, yet his pork belly is certainly full flavoured and robust. The menu changes frequently to meet the demands of the strong local clientele who like to dine on a regular basis. Christopher is in charge of the room with the service being warm and friendly, professional but never obtrusive. It is of up to most importance that regulars are recognised, people are made to feel at ease and that the ambience created is relaxed. (Updated 01/01/2007)
