Ruby's Cocktail & Piano Bar Overview
For any girl who has ever donned a pair of ridiculously high heels and ordered a cosmopolitan in an effort to emulate Carrie Bradshaw et al, Ruby’s cocktail and piano bar is the perfect place to spend an evening. I took my very own Samantha Jones and it didn’t take us long to settle into Ruby’s comfortable arm chairs as we browsed the menu. An impressive list of 48 cocktails, most of them conceived by Ruby’s passionate bar manager – Sébastien Guesdon.
The cocktails ranged from the decadent ‘Polish Summertime’, to the humorous Dracula’s date, a ghoulish cocktail concocted in aid of Halloween, made with fresh lime, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and Blavod Vodka. I kicked off with a Wellington mule, (6.50) which looked like a piece of art but tasted much more refreshing. Miss Jones said her cosmopolitan (8.00) was excellent. All the fruit needed for Ruby’s cocktails is fresh and the purees are made to order by the on site chef. Sébastien’s philosophy – that a bar manager worth his salt topped margarita, should be able to merge two separate groups of strangers by the end of the evening, lends itself well to Ruby’s inviting atmosphere.
The room is lit by red candlelight, decorated with dark framed mirrors and a pianist fills the room with funky classics. Ruby’s also offers bar food, which is available from noon until 11pm, handy for those who might have a sudden need to line their stomachs after a Silver Velvet or a Van Gogh Mojito, the more potent of the cocktails on the list. Time spent at Ruby’s is a real treat - a venue which adds something special to an evening on the town or even just a quiet drink.

Located on the ground floor of The ParkCity overlooking the terrace garden, Ruby’s is ideal for relaxing and socialising in a relaxed and contemporary setting.
Open from midday every day, Ruby’s offers a varied light lunch and snacks menu. Choose from the extensive drinks menu, ranging from a host of innovatively blended cocktails to classic favourites and non-alcoholic concoctions. A large selection of spirits, single malts, wines, beers and soft drinks are also available.
