Pearl Restaurant & Bar Overview
Pearl is a glamorous new destination restaurant and bar from the creative team who designed Nobu and the Metropolitan.
Carrying the heritage of its past into new glamour, the name Pearl is inspired by its original site as the former banking hall of the Pearl Assurance Building.
The stunning and timeless surroundings are complimented with the menu specially created by Jun Tanaka. Like Pearl with its heritage and contemporary design, the foundation of Jun’s cuisine is classic French but has modern and light touches. He is a firm believer in using the best ingredients in season.
Having previously worked for Marco Pierre White at the Oak Room and Phil Howard at The Square, followers of this exciting young chef believe he now has the restaurant he deserves.
The Pearl Bar holds an exquisite selection of wines preserved by the Cruvinet System. This allows an offering of 32 of the world’s best wines by the glass, so that everyone has the opportunity to sample some of the most exclusive wines money can buy.
The Cruvinet system enables wines to be opened while maintaining their freshness for up to five weeks. The wines are constantly on a nitrogen system which displaces oxygen from the open bottles, thereby enabling wines to remain fresh until time to open a new bottle. (Updated 08/12/2005)
