OQO Overview
OQO is a unique Chinese restaurant and bar where traditional dishes are given a contemporary twist and food is served tapas style, perfect for grazing and sharing. OQO opened in December 2004 with the original idea of serving Chinese tapas along with some great cocktails in an informal yet stylish setting.
Situated on leafy Islington Green, OQO is a light and airy space. The main feature is the forty-foot long bar, which illuminates through wood embedded glass, creating a warm and organic glow. The bar extends through to the open plan kitchen where the chefs can be observed preparing food to order.
The bar at OQO has an extensive selection of classic cocktails as well as an inventive list of some Orient-inspired OQO Specials. OQO's floor to ceiling windows and glas front open up in the summer months, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely lunch or an evening spent sipping cocktails. (Updated 02/12/2005)
