A restaurant more kiwi than an all black waving a Silver Fern on Waitangi Day!
It's a must for a true taste of God's own Country, house specialities include the paua & prawn fritter, hangi smoked lamb, NZ green lip mussels, kumara chips, lamb burgers with beetroot and pineapple, venison and lamb shanks – but you'd better save a little room for dessert – hokey pokey ice cream with chocolate fish, pavlova, fresh feijoa and much more.
The kiwi kitchen menu is designed to give diners a taste of New Zealand, wholesome, fresh produce beautifully cooked and lovingly presented.
Matt has combined the influences of his life to create the menu, from traditional maori dishes to recipes passed down from generation to generation. The kiwi kitchen is Matt’s chance to give the UK a taste of the food he grew up with, the produce and the favours that make New Zealand unique.
The range of kiwi wines, spirits an beers is extensive and exclusive, it's a perfect accompaniment – including the whole range of 42 below vodkas including feijoa and manuka honey. The kiwi kitchen is the only NZ restaurant in the UK, set up by Naki boy, Matt Jans – it's 100% pure New Zealand. Open seven days a week, 6-10pm Mon to Weds, 12-11pm Thurs to Sun.
