The Kingly Club Overview
The Kingly Club on St Martin's Lane is the sister venue to The Kingly Club - Soho. The venue is situated in Covent Garden, just a stone’s throw from London's Theatre land. Comprising Kyashii - a contemporary Japanese restaurant with two dining rooms and a Chef’s table, a ground floor lounge bar with outdoor seating and a mezzanine area, all housed in a stunning three-storey, glass fronted building. The style is unmistakably Kingly, oozing style and sophistication.
At night, enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the stylish bar before dining on sumptuous Japanese cuisine prepared by the talented team at Kyashii. Kyashii promises to be a luxurious and decadent treat, courtesy of Executive Chef Andrew Lassetter and his accomplished team. Follow tiny lemon low level spot lights down the stairs, through the black glass corridors and into Kyashii. With three very different areas to choose from the experience you have is up to you.
The largest of Kyashii's dining areas, The White Room manages to combine modern simplicity with comfort and beauty. With its cream leather seating, 'volcano' lighting and fish tanks, the area is perfect for fine dining - whether it's a dinner for two or a formal business lunch. The room can also be privately hired and features of all the state of the art technology required for presentations.
Reserved by table or as a private dining room, The Blue Room provides a quite unique experience - enclosed as it is by panoramic fish tanks with blue neon lighting and teaming with colourful salt water fish. Water appears to ripple on the ceiling and cleverly placed mirrors provide infinity reflections. This is an oasis of tranquility and calm in the midst of one of the Worlds biggest and busiest cities.
For a truly impressive dining experience, The Chef's Table can be booked for up to eight people. Diners can enjoy a menu created by Executive Head Chef Andrew Lassetter and wines chosen by the Sommelier, Guillaume Glipa. They can also watch his accomplished team prepare each dish from this stunning room, which features a switch which frosts the glass surrounding the area for those requiring privacy.
The ground floor lounge bar offers a more informal alternative to Kyashii. As you enter the building you pass the outside dining area with its Zen garden feel, decorated with tall black Japanese bamboo and etched granite flooring - the perfect place to sit and watch the World go by over a delicious lunch of sushi and champagne.
The glass front of the building creates an illusion of mystery with the interior obscured by the polarized glass design. Through the glass doors you enter a futuristic double height interior that is filled with light. The design is impressive and fresh – with familiar Kingly trademarks such as the solid glass low iron bar, floor to ceiling ‘Volcano’ lighting wall and polished stucco plaster mixing beautifully with new features such as the beautiful curves on the mezzanine floor above and the daylight coming in from the incredible skylight at the end of the room.
Upstairs, in the mezzanine which overlooks the Lounge Bar is The Black Room. The Kingly Club members are given priority access to this area and, with its luxury black leather seating, cool décor and premium bar which serves a range of cocktails, champagnes and bar dishes, it’s the place to be. State of the art DZ screens (the largest in any bar in Europe) also make it an awe-inspiring choice for products launches, screenings and presentations. (Updated 29/06/2008)
