Daphne's Overview
Historic Daphne's, recently refurbished, is a modern and relaxed Italian 'local'. The alfresco-feel conservatory and open-plan restaurant create two comfortable spaces for dining.
Opened in 1964 by theatre agent Daphne Rye, Daphne's was an instant hit with the contemporaries of stage and screen and became one of London's most fashionable restaurants of the sixties.
When Mogens Tholstrup took ownership in 1992, the restaurant continued to maintain it's popularity with celebrities, neighbours and friends. Daphne's is now firmly established as a Caprice Holdings restaurant and continues to build upon it's great reputation for timeless quality dining.
