Cross Keys Overview
The Cross Keys is a fine old Chelsea landmark, close to the river, dating back to 1765. The name derives from a common sign in Christian heraldry, symbolizing the keys which Jesus gave to St Peter, in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. It was with this in mind, that co-owner and designer, Rudy Weller, famous for The Horses of Helios & The Three Graces, in Piccadilly Circus, created his "magical kingdom"!
The building comprises four rooms: the Bar, the Conservatory Restaurant, The Gallery & The Room at the Top.
The Bar comprises two open fireplaces. Bar snacks are available Mon-Fri 12-3pm & 6-8pm. They sell fine ales, Guinness, draught & bottled beers, champagnes, wines & spirits.
The Conservatory Restaurant caters for everyone. It is ideal for intimate dinners for two or very large parties.
The Gallery is on the first floor, it overlooks the bar & it is self-contained with its own bar. It is ideal for stand up parties.
The Room at the Top is self contained, with its own bar. It is ideal for private dinner parties, from 15 to 40 persons. Set menus or restricted A la Carte menus are available. Stand up parties up to 60 persons. (Updated 10/04/2006)
