A Grand New Burger Diner Concept

The Grand Union Group has recently launched a new Classic Burger Concept in four sites across the capital (Camden, Twickenham, Islington, Highgate). Already hugely popular for cocktails and as places to drink and socialise, we are set to make a mark with our food.

Special Offer
The new Classic Burger menu has just launched in Twickenham, our first site outside North London. To give everyone a chance to try the new burgers we are offering a 2 for 1 deal on weekday lunches.

The new Classic Burger Diner Concept
Our new menu; boasting over 15 burgers, salads, sides and platters covers all the bases with beef, lamb, chicken and vegetarian options.

The beef is traditionally farmed and sourced from the most local suppliers. Our 1/2lb patties are made using a family recipe from the Managing Director, Adam Marshall's relatives in Cherokee, South Carolina, U.S.A that has a rich and distinctive flavor. All the burgers are on a sesame seed bun, baked locally and exclusively for The Grand Union, filled with fresh lettuce, beef tomato, relish and mayo.

Beef is not the only option however; more interesting choices include the Greek Lamb with cucumber raita, and for vegetarians the Chargrilled Aubergine and Goat's Cheeseburger is just one of the options.

The food offer is a breath of fresh air in a time that has seen the majority of operators turn to pre-cooked frozen produce. Made on site, from local ingredients The Grand Union burgers beg the question why one is often paying more for frozen food from the likes of G.B.K and T.G.I Fridays.

Our chips were recently recognized in Time Out's 'Lord of the fries' as 8th of the 50 best chips in London. The process is simple yet effective. High-quality Maris Pipers potatoes are cut to 12mm, cooked to 90% in salted water, rinsed thoroughly then finished in the fryer using groundnut oil. This method creates a rich tasting classic style chip that is fluffy in the middle, crisp on the outside and surprisingly healthy.

American Diner
Inside any Grand Union the layout is simple. In the form of an informal American diner there is booth seating and couches to accommodate varying numbers. Most guests tackle the immense portions by hand, however if those dining with you demand otherwise cutlery is also provided.
