Comfortable and spacious, Butlers Restaurant takes care of the fine dining end of business at the Chesterfield with a superb repertoire of classical and seasonal dishes - well known for roasts of the day and Sunday lunch. For a change of scene, the light and airy Conservatory serves light meals and snacks with delicious afternoon tea served every day. The Terrace Bar, a club style lounge, is great for lunch or an evening rendezvous and is a convivial spot at any hour. Enchanting and intimate, it is a great place to sample some of the extensive range of vintages held in The Wine Room, where tastings are regularly laid on to welcome new additions to the list.
Butlers is a warm and cosy restaurant, famous for the "best Dover Sole in London" and offers elegant dining matched by first class British cuisine with a few international influences. Favoured by many local Mayfair residents it is easy to understand why with its inviting, warm ambience and delicious food.
To accompany your meal they offer an extensive selection of wines from the Wine Room, many are served by the glass as well as by the half bottle allowing you to sample a few. Bouchard Finlayson of South Africa is a fine label and comes strongly recommended by the Restaurant Manager.
Flooded with natural daylight their Conservatory is ideal for light meals or a wonderful afternoon tea, set against the backdrop of the garden and fountain, you could almost believe you were actually in an English garden. It is inevitably an extremely social setting so making it perfect for cocktail receptions, for up to 70 guests, or a private dinner for up to 30 guests.
Their traditional Afternoon Tea is extremely popular and comes with a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam served with a wide choice of leaf teas and herbal infusions. You may also wish to indulge in their Champagne Afternoon Tea to add a little sparkle to your day. All teas are served to the highest standard and come in a variety of combinations to suit your mood, herbal infusions are also naturally available if you prefer.
The Terrace Bar is undoubtedly the place to savour one of the many fine cognacs, malt whiskies, sherries or champagnes on offer, its exclusive club like ambience is qualified by the array of specialist drinks on offer. Their experienced bar staff are on hand to mix a tasty cocktail of your favourite ingredients. They also have a resident pianist every evening from 6.30pm Monday to Saturday who will happily oblige with the odd request.
