Brunello Restaurant Overview
Brunello in London was the first of these concept restaurants to be opened within a Baglioni Hotel; on the ground floor of the Baglioni Hotel, it looks out onto Kensington Gardens. It is a versatile space featuring a typically Italian cuisine with distinctive regional flavours in order to offer the very best of our country. The perennial search for great tastes by Chef Stefano Stecca has turned Brunello into one of the most stylish meeting and eating places in London.
Chef Stecca and his team offer a reinvented Mediterranean cuisine packed full of the very best ingredients – all flown in from Italy, very fresh and full of flavour. The midday menu changes every two weeks. Starters and first courses vary from Cod Carpaccio with Rocket and Lemon Vinaigrette to a mix of smoked Italian meats; follow with a Fresh Garlic Soup with crispy Bacon or Fish Ravioli with Seafood Sauce and Fresh Vegetables. The varied evening menu offers either three or four courses, enough to satisfy the most discerning palates. The superb wine list features over 400 labels, among which, Italian wines take precedence
The wine list also has an impressive selection of quality vintage wines such as the Sassicaia di Bolgheri dei Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta, the Barbaresco and the Barolo Sperss by Angelo Gaja and L’Apparita del Castello by Ama Ghiaiole of Chianti, a few of our world-wide renowned wines. The wine list has been further enhanced by the prestigious Dom Perignon Oenotheque and by a selection of the best champagnes, as well as other great French, Spanish, German and American wines.
The décor of the Brunello Lounge & Restaurant is opulent and lavish: tall bronze urns, grey and gold velvet armchairs, black Murano glass chandeliers and an impressive fireplace provide the setting for a truly memorable meal.
The Brunello Bar & Lounge is open all day long and into the night. You may linger over a morning coffee, a light-lunch, or afternoon tea with a selection of pastries. From early evening a cocktail or glass of champagne may be enjoyed as an aperitif before dinner and later the bar is the perfect intimate spot to enjoy a night cap - it’s a place where gastronomy and culture as well as design and music meet.
