Barcelona Tapas Bar (Well Court) Overview
The fourth location of Barcelona opened in 2000. Barcelona at 13 Well Court (off Bow Lane) EC4 has quickly became a success - holding both lunch and evening functions.
Barcelona is set on two levels. The main level is an intimate Cava and Tapas Bar in association with "Freixenet" (the renowned Spanish Cava Producer) - and stocks Cava (Spanish Champagne) not easily found in London. One of the main features of this bar area (as in all Barcelona Tapas locations) is the large mosaic lizard - the Gaudí designed lizard found in "Parc Güell" in the City of Barcelona.
The restaurant level includes a large bar section and various dining areas - which can accommodate several party functions at the same time or able to hand a party for 200 plus.
The interior of Barcelona is in the familiar bright colours and the tile work is done by renowned tile designer Donna Reeves. Open from Monday to Friday, Barcelona is a favoured location for the unstuffy business lunch and the after work Cava, drinks, tapas and dance. (Updated 26/08/2005)
