Amnesia Overview
Change is rife in this world and for The Cedars it was as inevitable as England being beaten at every sport it invented. Thankfully some bright spark has dropped a bomb on this gimpy low-rent boozer, but not one of those destructive nuclear types, oh no. Instead they’ve unleashed the full fury of a bomb filled with Turkish delight and, as a consequence, transformed it into something quite bizarre – a bazaar, if you will.
It’s now known as Amnesia and the locals have ironed their best shirts for the occasion. They’ve also brought along their ‘How Did He Pull Her, He Must Have A Lot Of Dosh’ stunning lady friends, thereby upping the eye-candy quotient by a considerable amount. They’re here to experience a taste of the exotic without the hinderance of actually leaving the UK: live Arabian music, floor-to-ceiling cushions and a healthy supply of hookahs.
The cosy bohemenian décor begets a relaxed atmosphere and onn Saturday nights here’s what you do: sample the ‘Greek Lebanese cuisine’, then swill that down with the awesome fully-ornamented house fruit cocktail. Then, ignoring the impending smoking ban, have yourself a mixed fruit seesha and, finally, gawk at the belly dancer whose ample bosoms clash like Europe meeting Asia either side of the Bosphorus in Istanbul.
