190 Queen's Gate at The Gore Overview
The Gore has been noted for fine food since the 1950s when, in an atmosphere redolent of 16th century Hampton Court, 400 people a night dined off suckling pig and syllabub in the hotel's Elizabethan Rooms.
Today, guests enjoy the delicious food and buzzing atmosphere of Bistrot 190, their upbeat and informal all-day restaurant.
The Gore's world famous candlelit bar attracts an eclectic mix of fascinating people. Local residents and hotel guests mingle in the warm, intimate atmosphere of a private house party.
Bar 190 is particularly popular with celebrities from film, television, fashion, publishing and advertising. With its ornate plaster ceiling and mahogany panelled walls it is more like a private club than a hotel bar. (Updated 29/01/2006)
